Service Alert: Service Changes for Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

DC Circulator to Modify Service on Multiple Routes this Saturday for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon course will run on critical parts of the National Mall Route and Woodley Park-Adams Morgan route.

The marathon course will affect DC Circulator routes from opening until noon. Therefore, the following service changes will begin Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the start of service:

National Mall Route: Detour – Service will detour from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Independence Ave SW.

The following bus stops below will not be served.

  • Stop # 9 Lincoln Memorial Circle SW
  • Stop # 10 Constitution Avenue / 21 St NW
  • Stop # 11 Constitution Avenue / 18th St NW
  • Stop # 12 15th Street / Madison Drive SW

Woodley Park-Adams Morgan: Detour – Service will detour from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm or once streets reopen to traffic after the conclusion of the marathon.

Buses will not travel to Adams Morgan and will not service the following stops below (all stops north of Florida Ave):

  • Connecticut Ave NW / 24th St.
  • Adams Mill Rd. NW / Columbia Rd.
  • Columbia Rd. NW / Ontario Rd. NW
  • Mt. Pleasant St NW / Irving St.
  • Irving St NW / 14th St.
  • Columbia Rd. NW / 14th St.
  • Columbia Rd. NW / between 15th & 16th St.
  • Columbia Rd. NW / Ontario Rd.
  • Adams Mill Rd. NW / Columbia Rd.
  • Connecticut Ave. NW / 24th St.

Once race activities have concluded and streets reopen around noon, the DC Circulator will begin regular service to all Circulator bus stops. Follow @dccirculator on Twitter for updates.
