DC Circulator proudly transports residents and families of DC while offering consistent service and great features. Stay Connected on the Go
While riding DC Circulator, your children can watch cartoons or play games on whatever device they’d like courtesy of our free Wi-Fi, giving you time to sneak in a few work emails or your favorite show. Stay ready for the day or night and re-charge your devices with our USB chargers, located underneath select seats on the bus!
Accessibility and Stroller Space
DC Circulator is committed to providing reliable and accessible service to all. We readily welcome families traveling with children in strollers, senior citizens, and people with disabilities on our vehicles, which have accessibility features that help make it easier. No need to struggle of lifting your stroller up to meet the bus steps; just request the operator lower the bus ramp to board easily with your kids in tow!
Kids Ride Free and Free Transfers
The Kids Ride Free program allows students to ride for free on Metrobus, Metrorail, and the DC Circulator while traveling within the District. Children can use their Kids Ride Free fare passes on DC Circulator to get to and from school and any extracurricular activities they may have throughout the year.
Customers are encouraged to pay for their fare with a SmarTrip card to receive discounts if transferring to or from another transit. Discounts are also available for seniors and students. Visit our Fares & Payments page for more information.
Family and Group Style Seating
With family-style seating, you can keep your children close by and chat while you enjoy the ride. Some of the seating areas on the bus can even seat up to a family of four across from each other.
Kids Ride Free and Free Transfers
DC Circulator buses are equipped with sturdy bike racks on the front of the bus to help your family make connections in and around the city. The racks hold up to two bicycles, perfect for small families who would like to explore the city on wheels. You can load your bike in just five easy steps. Furry Friends are welcome
Here at DC Circulator, we know your furry friends are an extension of your family. Pets are allowed to board DC Circulator buses and must be contained in a crate or container specifically manufactured for the safe transport of animals for the entire duration of the trip. All service animals are allowed on DC Circulator buses without a crate or container.
