The Chinatown Friendship Archway distinctively marks this booming cultural district located in downtown D.C. Chinatown is known for its rich history, cultural festivals and events, entertainment and vibrant nightlife scene. The neighborhood is centrally located with close proximity to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and Union Station, the District's transportation hub, as well as numerous hotels, restaurants, theaters and museums.
Home to the Verizon Center, where the District's professional basketball team, the Washington Wizards, and professional hockey team, the Washington Capitals, both play their home games, the area is lively before and after the venue's events with plenty of bars and restaurants that cater to event goers. Hop off the Circulator at 7th and K St. or 9th and K St. on the Georgetown-Union Station route to discover all that Chinatown has to offer.
